What can I expect from therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative partnership that can look different for everyone. We’ll explore your history, patterns, and priorities to build trust and guide the work. Sessions may include reflection, practical tools, or deeper processing at your pace, with my support and insight.

The length of therapy varies. Some seek short-term help for a specific issue, while others pursue longer-term growth. We’ll check in regularly to ensure it continues to meet your needs.

Sessions are scheduled for 60 minute time slots and generally last between 53 and 57 minutes. This allows sessions to conclude thoughtfully while respecting the time needed between appointments.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do I attend therapy?

Therapy frequency is personalized to your needs, though many people start with weekly sessions to build connection and maintain steady progress. Regular meetings provide a strong foundation and support practicing new skills, especially when working through trauma, anxiety, or depression.

As progress is made, sessions may shift to biweekly or less often. Consistency, at any frequency, is key to lasting growth. If your needs or schedule change, we’ll adjust together to keep therapy effective and aligned with your goals.

What insurance do you accept?

I am in network with the following insurance providers:

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Ohio

Cigna

Medical Mutual of Ohio

Aetna

United Healthcare/Optum

Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania – Virtual National Network

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

Carelon Behavioral Health

Quest Behavioral Health

If your plan isn’t in-network, I can provide superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

What are your fees for services?

The standard self-pay rate is $135 per session and $175 for the initial assessment (intake session). However, sliding scale pay options are available on a limited basis. Practice policy requires that clients are required to have an active credit/debit card on file through the client portal for secure payments.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. If appointments are cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, there will be a $75 fee. This fee may be waived for sickness that is genuinely preventing the session from taking place.

Good Faith Estimate

At In Tune Counseling, LLC, we are committed to transparency and helping clients make informed decisions about their mental health care. In accordance with federal regulations, including the No Surprises Act, we provide a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for the cost of services for clients who are not using insurance or whose services may not be fully covered.

The No Surprises Act protects patients from unexpected medical bills from out-of-network providers. While therapy is generally considered outpatient mental health care, we voluntarily provide Good Faith Estimates to help clients understand the expected cost of services and avoid surprise charges.

A Good Faith Estimate is an itemized approximation of the expected charges for your therapy sessions, including individual counseling, couples therapy, or other services offered. This estimate is based on the information available at the time and may vary if additional services or unforeseen circumstances arise.

Typical Session Rates:

  • Individual Therapy (53+ minutes): $135

  • Intake/Initial Assessment (60 minutes): $175

If you would like a personalized Good Faith Estimate, please contact our office directly. We will provide a written estimate reflecting the anticipated number of sessions and costs based on your specific needs.

Providing this information helps ensure that you can plan for care confidently and without unexpected financial surprises.

NOTE: This applies to Self-Pay clients only.
